DNA Architects, commissioned by HMS Host and the NJ Turnpike Authority, designed the Vince Lombardi Service Area to define an iconic and historical statement distinct from the prior NJT/GSP facilities while reflecting North Jersey’s metropolitan character. Showcased at the main entrance of this 29,999 square foot building is a backlit Vince Lombardi monument which pays homage to the Lombardi Trophy and provides the building with a defining element that can be seen from the roadway at any time of the day or night. Inspired by Lombardi’s legacy, the light-filled interior features an energized ceiling, motivational quotes, and a modern marché-lounge concept, with distinct brand kiosks and seating areas tailored to enhance the visitor experience. Blending precision and passion, DNA Architects have successfully executed the “field” goal of the design task given!
