DESCRIPTION

Shepard Hall, an architectural gem at the City College of New York, was designed by the renowned George B. Post in 1907. The iconic building recently underwent a major exterior restoration managed by MJM Studios and Dean Mercado and Alberto Penna. The restoration process involved removing 65,000 deteriorated terracotta pieces and replacing them with glass fiber reinforced concrete replicas. Dean and Alberto had the privilege of managing site and construction documentation, conducted shop drawing review, and coordinated the production of the restoration. This meticulous restoration project preserved the historical and architectural significance of Shepard Hall, ensuring its splendor for future generations to enjoy.
