The beautiful lantern located at the top corner of Yale University’s Bingham Hall dormitory, located in New Haven, Connecticut needed replacing. The replica was strategically designed by MJM Studios with a thin-shell GFRC (glass fiber reinforced concrete) and steel frame reinforced panel system. Dean Mercado produced site documentation and construction documentation, and coordinated/managed the production of the GFRC panels, ensuring the seamless integration of the new lantern while maintaining the architectural integrity and historical essence of Bingham Hall.
